Beatnik is a former Secret Service operative and was in Chicago as part of the Presidential Security Detail during the election debate when the attack happened. Both the President and the Democratic Candidate were killed and he blames himself for their deaths. It is a memory that plagues him and he is bent on seeking vengeance for the Presidents death.

Beatnik is an enhanced human with bio-mechanical circuitry that gives him incredible steadiness and eyesight for shooting. He is a small arms expert as well as highly trained in first aid and security.

Eve, as she is called by the aliens, was a dedicated, decorated Army MP veteran in transit and waiting to leave from McGuire AFB in New Jersey when the alien attacks occurred. She fought them off with her unit members to no avail. The enemy was too skilled, and far too advanced in their techniques for the usual training the military used.

One of the first, successful sentient implant subjects, they were able to use the enhancement of longevity the military gave her to aid them in converting her. Now, she not only has the enhanced longevity to aid her but with her bond with the aliens, she is able to use some of their own skills to fight against the human resistance.

When people first meet Eve, they think she is one of the normal humans but when a human is enhanced with a sentient for the aliens, all signs of emotion are gone and they act almost robot like. It is something the aliens are trying to understand (human emotions) and use their knowledge to perfect others like Eve.

GG was your typical New Yorker doing typical New York things when the aliens attacked. Talking on her cell phone to friends and clients alike, the last thing she thought her world would become was a battle ground for life forms from another planet. As the attacks started, GG found her way to the subway thinking it was the best place for her to hide. And she was right. For the most part. From time to time the alien invaders would raid the subway forcing the humans even further underground.

Never one to consider herself a fighter, so to speak, she has found she is more capable of not only defending herself but others as well. Known as the "human resistance" to the aliens, GG does anything and everything she can to fight the alien forces to try and win back her planet. A far cry from being the "escort" she used to be and living the pampered life she was so used to living.

Now, GG, along with other survivors, lives beneath the subway in a labyrinth of tunnels moving back and forth between New York and New Jersey. She has tried to learn first aid but she doesn't have the stomach for such thing although she does what she can when she has no other choice. Thanks to Murdoc, she's learned how to use weapons and even some hand to hand combat although she isn't as proficient as she would like to be. Still, she does the best she can with what she has been taught and isn't afraid to try and learn new things.

Murdoc is a man in his mid to late 40s, he is ex military and a member of the human resistance. Like most humans that still remain in the New York/New Jersey areas he resides underground in the rag tag settlements hidden deep beneath the ruined cities. Murdoc has adapted well since the invasion, he is an impressive saboteur and fearless freedom fighter. Murdoc has some good knowledge of chemistry and has manufactured explosives for the resistance. Murdoc is a member in good standing of the resistance and knows GG.

Murdoc has manufactured a chemical similar to napalm for the resistance, he has reproduced a gelignite like explosive and an explosive similar to military grade compound 4. Because of limited resources there is very little of these chemicals made and they are used sparingly.

Murdoc is a seasoned soldier, he is unafraid to venture above ground and openly engage the alien invaders. Murdoc is a good tactician and considers the campaign against the invaders to be a noble war.

Banshee is a non-enhanced human who Beatnik found after the alien invasion. She and her brother lost their entire family and now are under his care. Banshee has a highly advanced light military scouting armor that the three of them found at a small military base which had been leveled. Nobody has yet been found that can educate them completely as to the armors full capabilities but so far they know it changes it's appearance based on the environment she is in, it flexes naturally with her body and fits her perfectly. The armor also had a rifle and side arm that recharge with solar power. The armor helps her reflexes respond quicker than normal and the goggles enhance her vision with several settings for thermal, magnified and night vision.

Jessica (Jessie) Douglass was in training to become a ranger of the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. She was on vacation visiting her parents in New York with her husband and child when the attack came. She lost everything that day. Her parents...her husband of 5 years.....and her 3 year old daughter. Since that day she has been in survival mode, scavenging what she needs....staying hidden....and looking for others that haven't been genetically altered by the aliens. She is a strong woman...independent, stubborn and yet she has great compassion for her fellow man, especially children. She is good with pistols and rifles but prefers bow and arrow (though she has not found any as of yet) Right now, she carries on her a 9 mm glock with 4 extra clips, sawed off 12 gauge shotgun with 1 box of extra shells (these she replenishes as she find ammunition) and an 8" Bowie knife. She is usually dressed in black jeans, hiking boots and a black t-shirt with a dark denim jacket. Her long, dark hair is usually pulled back in a thick pony tail.

Her eyes hold the sadness of the loss of her family and she usually smiles when she talks about her daughter, Chloe or her husband, John.

Everything is good except her age. The Alien invasion was 7 years ago which means she would have been 18 when the event occurred. If she lost her husband of five years that means she would have been married at 13. Also to become a Park Ranger would take years, so I would say make her in her mid-late thirties so that some of the events of her life would have had more time to come to fruition and she will be good to go.

I also assume you mean for her to have been in Colorado but she is now on the East Coast? No problem there, in seven years it is realistic that could have occurred.
