General appearance: Shoulder length dark brown hair with a dusting of gray; Behind a pair of black Porsche Carreara aviator style sunglasses deep brown eyes with specks of gray; a light rope burn scar, barely visible, around his neck. A black leather jacket, black trousers, white T-shirt, black boots. Twin black leather shoulder holsters with a Smith and Wesson 40 caliber, 16 round automatic pistol in each. He has a sawed off 12 gauge pump shotgun.

Modes of transportation: A black 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback with racing suspension, custom built ten cylinder racing engine, five speed transmission and an additional twenty gallon fuel tank under the rear deck, where the fold down rear seat should be. A GPS navigation system, police radio and an emergency ban scanner. The car is wired to explode, when the alarm is set, if it is started.

History: Tim worked as a member of the Dallas, Texas S.W.A.T. team, until he broke his leg in an assault. He then transferred to undercover as a police detective, until his wife, Abby, and son, Samuel, were murdered in a drive by shooting at their home in Dallas. After their death he resigned the Dallas Police Department and moved back to his hometown of Arnett to the small family ranch, with his Chocolate Lab Kojak, where he scratches out a living raising cattle and horses.

Personality: Tim is a quiet man, perhaps the quietest man in Arnett, Texas. When he speaks it's because he has something worth saying. He's honest and does the right thing, although sometimes the right thing is only the lesser of two evils. The boys back home called him "Old Time Tough," and it's a apt description.

If there was one word to describe Tim it would be ‘practical’ because he sees the world as it is. Things need to be done. It’s not that he doesn’t have feelings, but there’s a time and place for dealing with pain, and it sure as hell ain’t right now.

Tim’s always been the kind of man you could call on to help you move, to take a look at your truck, to bring a six pack and call it a night while just shooting the shit and watching the bug zapper on the back porch. The simple things are the best, and Tim would prefer to do an honest day’s work for an honest wage and come home to his wife and kids. That’s just not what’s going to happen for him, though, and he knows it. Not after that terrible night in Dallas, when he heard the call on his unmarked police car radio.

He is rarely fazed by anything out of the ordinary anymore. In fact, he’s more likely to be shocked and pleased by the sight of a dog than he is to be upset by dead people, nuclear explosions, or prophetic dreams. Whatever comes his way, he deals with it at the time. There’s little use in worrying about the future, and even less use dwelling on the past (although it does creep up on him from time to time. Thoughts of his wife and son haunt him and so many of his friends who died. Tim is outwardly laid back, dealing with stressful situations with ease.

He's a gentle man, tough to get a rise out of. Few things make him angry and even his anger is exhibited with quiet danger. He's not loud or belligerent. If someone needs an ass whooping they get it, and that's that. Tim doesn't hold a grudge; he balances the score. He laughs easily and is a gentleman to women and patient with children. He has a bit of a limp from when he broke his leg, and it aches when the weather changes. Tim is also prone to prophetic dreams, and has the ability to alter time, for a few seconds at a time.

OCCUPATION: She was the full-time sidekick and personal assistant to the famous and powerful superhero known as Antimatter Woman—and now that A.W. has been assassinated by duplicitous defenders of the Riggs Act and the DPP (or Domestic Peace Procedure, the UK’s own version of the Riggs Act), Fay is out of a job…

BACKSTORY: Fay was born in London to antisocial computer geek parents who lost their jobs at an experimental technology corporation during an economic down-turn. In their isolation and financial strife, they decided to essentially “sell” their daughter to a research program developed to study the brain activity of children—in a strictly “non-invasive” environment, to be sure. After being reassured that Fay would not be harmed in any way, merely observed, her parents sent her at age 10 to the facility where she was to spend three months, and in return got 200,000 pounds. Fay could not forgive them for that, even before everything went wrong.

As it happened, the research facility was state-of-the-art and government-owned. The children who underwent the research were subject to 24-hour “brain wave therapies” using a top-secret new device called DreamCatcher that could not only take the most accurate readings on brain activity, but could essential “read” the mind at every level, allowing scientists to search brains as they might a computer database and understand brain development in ways they never had before.

It turned out that DreamCatcher was not so top-secret after all, and Britain’s baddest bad super villains decided they needed the mind-reading device to help them enact their evil plot to uncover the activities of superheroes and to brainwash the citizens of London. They raided the test center, one villain using his powers to scramble the center’s database and other electronics, causing cameras, alarms and other security measures to fail. This happened at the same instant that Fay was undergoing stimulation to, and feedback from, a section of the brain that interacts with external particle-waves rather than physical stimuli. The system overload caused unprecedented levels of stimuli to flow into her brain, which in turn caused entirely new synapses to form…the effect of which would not be apparent for some time. She started to suffer a seizure.

Meanwhile, Antimatter Woman, beloved heroine of Britain, arrived on the scene to stop the evil plot to take over DreamCatcher, blasting villains with her gamma rays, blinding them with spontaneous light, etc. In the course of her work, she found the apparently damaged young Fay and personally rescued her from the facility. This was the first time they met.

A massive lawsuit and a few years later, Fay had come to realize that her experience in the research institute had forever changed her. Though she never experienced another seizure, her brain seemed to interact with the environment around her in a way that no one else’s did. Her new powers frightened her, but they were a part of her now. She needed to understand what they meant.

At age 16, already distant from her parents (with whom she never had a normal relationship, anyway) Fay decided to seek out Antimatter Woman and show the superhero her strange abilities in hopes that A.W. could tell her what to do. Since A.W. also lived in London, this was not the most epic journey a 16-year-old could undertake, but A.W. still proved hard to find. When at last Fay located the superhero and showed her what she could do, it marked the beginning of a new dynamic duo, hero and sidekick, who would fill the pages of the Guardian and the Sun with crime-fighting mania until parliament passed the DPP and Antimatter Woman retired at age 38 (Fay was 25). A.W.’s retirement years were devoted to fund raising and volunteer work in Africa until events took a dark and mysterious turn, and well-known superheroes started turning up dead. A.W. was investigating a wicked international plot that lead her to America. She told Fay to remain in hiding, but Fay knew A.W. was in trouble and went after her, only to find she was too late…

POWERS: Fay’s thought-connectivity with quantum particles allows her to create powerful static force fields. Creation and maintenance of force fields requires energy and concentration: the more complicated or unwieldy the force field the more energy it requires. Also, she must be able to see or have a clear mental image of the place where the force field will be, and she cannot create fields further than a hundred meters from her person, at best.

She is accustomed to using her powers as backup for Antimatter Woman: making a last-minute shield to protect A.W.’s back from a surprise attack, or creating an escape route over an impossibly wide chasm, etc. She has never attempted to create a force field exceeding the volume of about two cubic feet—one cubic inch of field is enough to deflect conventional physical attacks. Thicker shields can stop bullets, and many superpowers (provided the powers are physically manifest).

However, the fields weaken under assault and can be destroyed. If Fay loses consciousness, all fields dissipate. She can move fields through the air with limited success (this takes extra strength and concentration), and could conceivably create one that could be “ridden,” though she has never really had to do much of that sort of thing before, since she’s used to playing 2nd fiddle and not using her powers to their greatest extent. She can only create fields in gaseous molecules; water and other liquids do not react the same way—rather than creating a force field, liquid molecules simply become agitated, gradually heating until they vaporize (and this is more difficult for her than creating a field in air). She seems unable to affect solid substances in any way.

Antimatter Woman gave her code name “Siege” because her abilities are like strategies employed by a castle under siege: barriers, trip lines and unexpected escape routes.

APPEARANCE
Despite being over 60 years of age, Wraith appears to be a man in his thirties, possessing, like some of his kind, a longevity gene greatly increasing his life span. He stands 6'6" tall with a muscular 250 lb frame which due to his increased muscle density is more accurately, 275 pounds. His powerful stature combined with white blonde hair, pale skin and bright blue eyes, makes Devon appear to be a stereotypical Scandinavian, but he has worked exceptionally hard through his long years to lose any trace of his native accent. While his job often demands more formal attire, he prefers more casual attire, commonly wearing stylish kakis and designer label t-shirts.

PERSONALITY
Devon has a calm and reassuring nature about him and makes a conservative effort to be amiable and light-hearted in order to counteract an underlying brooding nature. He is well aware of how imposing his own physical stature can be, and always attempts to minimize his presence to blend in as much as possible, preferring not to stand out in a crowd, which among his professional colleagues is often quite difficult. As Wraith, however, his true nature is revealed; assertive and calculating the hero's decisions are often as cold as the chilled wind he becomes, but he wasn't always that way. The traumatic loss of loved one can have a profound effect on an individual, especially one with the power to single handed exact vengeance upon those responsible.

HISTORY
Toril came to Canada when he was a boy of twelve. Healthy, strong, handsome and athletic he had no troubles fitting in and sports became a large part of his life. Truly he was indifferent in how he felt about playing hockey, speed skating, martial arts, and any other activity his parents could enroll him in, he did it because he didn't have to work hard at it. No matter what he was often faster and stronger than his opponents, only a lack of experience spelled his defeat. As a teenager he began to suspect that his athletic dominance might be due to a mutation, but felt that if he could just disguise his heightened abilities they could carry him to a promising sports career.
When his other mutant abilities manifested at the age of twenty he realized that he would not be able to maintain his anonymity and retired from sports to pursue a career that could provide him the answers he was seeking. As he learned more about genetics he studied his abilities, and unraveled the mysteries of his powers which at first seemed almost magical, but there was a science behind them.

While pursuing a medical degree he donned a costume and joined other super-heroes in defending the world from the atrocities of mankind and meta-humans. In time, the causes he chose to defend lead to deaths, and eventually he himself was at the receiving end of a bullet from men who had been appointed to rid the world of his kind. He survived, but disheartened and now a fugitive he faded into obscurity, taking a low profile lab tech job and storing away his costume.

In the following years, he married and for the first time he was content to be just like everyone else, but a tragic accident during a gang shooting would take the life of his wife and rekindle his sleeping powers with vengeance.

Toril paused for a moment and munched on some more chips. "Y'know I could have made it to the NHL." He revealed, "The winter after you got the gold in '72 I was being scouted, and things looked promising until this big dumb bastard named Davidson, kept chipping away at me. My father had allowed to me to play, so long as I controlled my strength, which I thought wouldn't be a problem since I was no Battalion, able to throw a tank like a baseball. Well the guy wouldn't lay off, I even tried to reason with the asshole, but he just kept on hacking away at me. So finally he pushed me to the limit and I went after him in the corner and I hit him haaaaard. Too hard." He crunched down angrily on a chip, "The guy went through the boards and ended up in the hospital with broken ribs and a concussion. My father was an engineer and he managed to cook up some bullshit story that the boards were ready to go and it was ruled as an unfortunate accident. Still, that was the end of my career, since it proved that I couldn't control my strength or my other abilities in times of stress." Toril laid flat on his back, staring up at the ceiling and sighed, "Ah, it was probably for the best. There's always a 'Davidson' lurking out there, threatening to expose us for what we are, better I found out sooner rather than later. It forced me concentrate on my education and in my spare time I put on my costume and joined all the other masked avengers trying to make a difference. That's one of the reasons I never saw you in 1979, that was the year they killed Battalion."

POWERS/ABILITIES/SKILLS

Heightened Attributes
Toril has increased muscle and bone density which, from his own personal studies, has found to be more of a common mutation. Many mutants or 'metas', possess some form of enhanced physical attributes and he being no different fits more into the realm of super-human strength. Even without weight training his strength would be equal to that of a large grizzly bear, but his constant exercising has allowed him to surpass even that, while maintaining a more agile muscular build.

Molecular Kinetic Manipulation
This what Toril classifies his ability as, which allows him to utilize a form of telekinesis to move and manipulate the air as well as his own molecular structure.
At will he can become non-corporeal by transforming the matter of his body and all non-magnetic materials contacting his skin within an inch of his body into a mass of kinetic energy that has the same properties as 'air'. The mass of his body remains relatively the same, but it is comprised of swirling air currents, that even at rest will swirl sand and toss leaves. While in this form he can manipulate air current to move light objects but he can ram an object with his 'wind form' and produce the same effect as gale force wind. Naturally he is completely invisible, but in complete darkness any fast movements of the kinetic energy he uses will make his body perceivable to the human eye by producing a faint glowing aura. (Thus appearing as a ghost) and while he is impervious to all damage he is naturally susceptible to fire and electrical attacks.

The kinetic ability also provides him with a form of invulnerability, making him more resilient against slashing, piercing and bludgeoning damage. The force which constantly surrounds him, radiating just over his clothing cannot stop bullets but offers extra protection that can stave off knife slashes and glancing blows.

Toril wears a pure platinum wedding ring. Because it is not magnetic, he can still dematerialize while it is in contact with his body. It seems that magnetic metals and fields disrupt his ability to become non-corporeal. This weakness, naturally makes him sensitive to magnetic fields (that have the power to disrupt his ability, since some are so minor they do not effect him) and the range at which he can feel them depends upon the magnitude of the field.

In his physical form he can use his power to generate winds to a maximum of gale force (102 kmph can uproot trees) and manipulate the atmospheric of the air allowing him to cool or warm the air within a 5 kilometer radius (intensity increasing closer to ground zero). Depending on current weather conditions he may be able to stimulate rain or produce a storm in a small area (when the conditions are right he can utilize a storm to generate hurricane winds, 118 kmph + or tornados). He can also generate a telekinetic push and in lighter bursts to enhance a strike or allowing him to fly. By enshrouding himself with the force he can make high leaps and even levitate and use winds to push him along, flying by controlled falls and gliding. He can only carry a maximum of 125 pounds and still fly, and can safely slow his descent while holding up to 250 lbs.

In his wind form he sees the world by the energy of matter, each different element producing a different colour, allowing him to see regardless of the presence of light. With it he can perceive air currents and is able to use it while in his physical form as well (but the ability causes his eyes to glow with a faint blue aura). When using this sight, or when in his 'wind form', the world resembles a transparent veil that is constantly moving, undulating and swirling around.

Real Name: Yelena Petrokovich

Super Hero Name: Chameleon

Powers/Abilities: Yelena is a shape shifter with the ability to psionically shift the formation of her biological cells at will to change her appearance and thereby assume the form of other humans. She can only take on the shape of other human that are similar in size to her own body proportions. When she assumes the identity of another, she can also change her voice to be that of the persons as well. Her shifting abilities can only last for a short period of time (no more than two hours).
While she would rather sneak away from a situation some how without confrontation, she’s been known to hold her own against some of the toughest adversaries with her training in martial arts and hand to hand combat.

Personality: Yelena was born the eighth child to an oppressed farmer and his wife and there is speculation her abilities came about because of exposure to the radiation leaked from a nuclear disaster. It’s never been proven though as she has never allowed any tests to be performed on her. As a result of her abilities, she never grew close to anyone outside her family and usually has a brooding or dark personality. Not that she doesn’t like company, but no one has ever really trusted her because of what she can do or they have asked her to use her abilities to benefit them personally.

Appearance: Yelena looks to be a young woman in her mid-twenties. She won’t reveal how old she really is and there is rumor it’s because she has forgotten herself. Blond hair that falls just past her jaw and green eyes until she shape shifts. During the shape shifting her eyes take on a yellow color with reptilian like black pupils. The entire process only lasts about 30 seconds. Wearing normal street clothes, she looks no different than other people except for the blue skin that briefly appears upon her body just before she assumes the form of another. She has a soft voice with a Slavic accent when she talks.

Robert, as he likes to be called, immigrated with his parents many years ago. He had never enjoyed any kind of real education, the inner city streets of a sprawling metropolis were his classrooms. He ended up working at the docks and falling in love with a girl named Nora. She was very fond of plants, and once they started to live together it was only a matter of time before their tiny apartment was filled with them. Robert had never been too fond of plants, but he gladly suffered them because of the smile they put on his love’s face.

One day when Robert got home, he found Nora on the floor of their apartment, unconscious and apparently sick. He rushed her to the hospital, only to have her die mere hours later of an unknown illness. After many hours at her side, Robert returned to his apartment. As he entered, the smell, the sight of the flowers, everything reminded him of what had just been stripped from him, and in an uncontrollable rage, he threw the plants up against the wall. He ripped what remained apart with his bare hands, caring not for their thorns, and then stomping on them for good measure.

When he was done with all of them he fell to his knees sobbing, realizing now everything Nora had left behind had also been destroyed. He crawled towards the remains of her favorite flower and collected the crushed pieces of a pink Dahlia. He mumbled how sorry he was as tears flowed freely down his face, when he suddenly felt something moving along his hand. One of the pieces had grown leaves and roots, and as he rubbed the tears from his eyes even a flower blossomed.

With a strange new power, an incredible control over all plant life, and no one left to keep him in the city, Robert left. He wandered for answers, but back in those days no one had any. Eventually it brought him across a kindred spirit, a man who had also gained strange powers. Lyrix was his name, using the power of his voice, he creates sound waves to both stun people and physically move objects. One thing led to another, and the both of them teamed up to right wrongs.

As years passed, they had worked for about every government agency known to man and fought evil in every major city. Unfortunately the world changed, Lyrix was forced to give up crime fighting after several large record companies sued him. His only way of using his powers is by singing songs, and the judges decided Lyrix was breaking copyright law as he did so. Robert decided that after as long as he and Lyrix had been in the business their time had come and also retired. Robert settled down, starting a small flower shop and returned to where it had all begun. Though hiding his powers, his incredible flowers quickly brought him renown. Now he lives comfortably, while he caters the flowery needs of celebrities.

Mister Di Vine is known for his heavy Italian accent and his costume which consists of actual living vines. He can make the vines grow quickly in order to grab or entangle things and make them grow thorns or grow thick in order to protect himself. He also carries a bag with seeds, which he could drop or throw to let them grow and form obstacles, among other things. Though he has significantly aged since he last saw any real action, he is in good physical and mental health; he’s just a bit slower and has brittle bones…

From a young age Harold has known but one passion; Music. Though he wasn’t much for a guitar, definitely not much for the drums and hardly proficient with a piano, he had a voice unlike any other. His family however saw no future for their son in show business and discouraged him from singing too much for he would never achieve anything with just his voice.

Still, he would not be swayed from his dream and was prepared to do anything to follow his voice to wherever it might lead him. Not many years later it stranded him in the United States with no money, a single set of clothes and a small bar at which he sang country music for three meals a day and a measly bit of change.

Had it not been for the miraculous powers he had started to develop he might have been singing in concert halls across the country. His powers had kicked in at the worst possible time, just when he was about to get his break did they manifest, only to nearly level the venue. He was about as shocked as all those attending, though they did not realize the destructive power had come from Harold, but for the young singer there could be no doubt. He dared not even speak for days, until eventually he decided he could not move on if he could not come to terms with what had happened and the frightening powers he had wielded.

He gained a super power, but lost his dream. He would have regretted his decision to attempt a career in the music business if Roberto Perovanini hadn’t walked into the small bar he was singing at one day and the two connected. At first they thought they were merely two failed misfits who had both tasted the tragedy of life until they shared their powers and were surprised to learn their similarities on more than one level.

They felt they could conquer the world together with their own powers and even though they had not trusted their abilities before they began to believe they might very well be able to use their abilities for much of the same things as the few superheroes of their time. They would seek out the corrupt elements of society and bring justice wherever they went. Soon the Terrific Twosome was formed and before long Lyrix and Di Vine were front page news.

Appearance: Shawn is a somewhat stocky kid, standing about 5'11" and 180lbs. His straight brown hair is shaggy and short, though he lets it fall over his plain, brown eyes giving him a slightly unkempt look. His jaw is relatively undefined, giving a youthful look to his face. Still, he has clearly grown and begun filling out in the end stages of puberty with broadening shoulders and clear muscles fairly defined beneath his pale skin. While he doesn't have the body of a star athlete, he still portrays an air of fitness and health. Typically, he dresses plainly in blue jeans, a plain shirt, and the same pair of old, ragged sneakers. Occasionally he will wear dark sunglasses.

Bio: Shawn was born completely blind and over 80% deaf. Devastated, his parents began his training in tactile signs and speech as early as possible. While he picked up quickly and even learned to speak at a remarkable pace and with impressive clarity, his parents couldn't help but see him as a kind of symbol of their shattered dreams. When Shawn was 7, they decided to try again and this time bore a perfectly healthy baby girl. While his younger sister grew to be the very pinnacle of their dreams for a perfect child and a happy family, Shawn found himself pushed to the side, their resentment becoming harder and harder to hide. As such, Shawn kept mostly to himself, accumulating a rather large collection of braille books.

When Shawn was 11, at the very first stirring of puberty, he would find that nature had yet another plan in store for him. Late one morning, Shawn opened his eyes and was startled by something he had never perceived before: A visual image. Barely suppressing a scream, Shawn squeezed his eyes shut and paused, calming himself before he very slowly opened them again and took in the garish array of bold colors that bombarded his inexperienced eyes. For over an hour, Shawn simply explored his own bedroom, pairing the familiar tactile inputs with these new and colorful images. With the details he felt and the colors he saw, Shawn quickly figured that this couldn't possibly be what normal people saw. (With some reading, he would figure out that he was seeing infrared waves and not the normal spectrum of light.)

Behind him, the familiar vibration of footsteps and the door being opened reached his remaining senses. Startled with the sudden and knowingly irrational fear of being caught with some amazing secret, Shawn's head whipped in the direction of the door and all of the colors abruptly vanished into the usual nothingness with which he hand grown. His expression still tense, he instinctively held out his hand and "listened" as his mother coldly asked him what he was doing and to tell him to put away his laundry. When he was alone again, Shawn ignored her command and spent more time "seeing" and exploring this new ability. Immediately, he rushed to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, reaching up to touch his face and pull together what he'd always "seen" with what he could now see.

When he placed his hands back on the counter and leaned forward however, he was startled to detect a faint corroding smell. Dragging his fingers along the counter top, he could see the intense white-red following along his fingers' path. For a moment, Shawn simply stared at it, carefully feeling its rough texture of crumpled plastic and bubbled porcelain. It was as though someone had dragged some extremely powerful acid across its surface. Now, his heart pounded with fear as he returned to his room and put several holes in the bottom of his wall before he figured out how to control it.

Ecstatic to finally show his parents that he had some use, Shawn turned on his new vision and rushed downstairs, calling for his parents whom he found with his younger sister in the kitchen. As soon as they turned, however, he was met with some strange vibrations that beat against him, their red and orange silhouettes jumping up from their chairs and stumbling backwards as they bent over the tiny form of his 4 year-old sister. Startled, Shawn turned off his powers and stood with his hands outstretched, waiting for some kind of explanation. Instead, he stood in silent darkness, waiting within a seeming bubble of coldness as his family moved gingerly around him.

In what felt like an instant, Shawn found himself in an orphanage where he was met with a similar reaction when he tried to see his surroundings. After some study in a mirror in the middle of the night, the only conclusion he could draw was that the bursts of intense green color around his eyes wasn't normal and that was what was terrifying others. Confused and alone in a crowded building in which only one was trained in tactile sign, Shawn kept to himself, secretly experimenting with and honing his powers. Over time, he was able to show his interpreter that he wasn't dangerous and through her, eventually learned ASL using his strange new vision.

Still, the orphanage was a harsh place of fierce competition and an almost primal test for survival. Being the most different and vulnerable of them all, Shawn found himself in many fights. Frustrated in a battle of 2 against 1, Shawn finally resorted to using his powers and both terrified and severely burned his adversaries, sending rumors flying through the facility that eventually reached his interpreter and tutor. His actions hit her with mingled feelings of terror and betrayal. In this place where she had witnessed the most innocent of children succumb to the harshness of the world, she couldn't ever be assured of her safety around Shawn. When she resigned, Shawn continued his own education alone with the specially ordered braille books and kept to himself in his isolated corner of the shared bedroom.

Finally, after some research, he left the orphanage with little resistance from the terror-stricken staff and plunged himself into the world. After some time on the street, he managed to raise himself enough money doing odd jobs with support to afford a tiny apartment in the fringes of the city where he now lives, contemplating where to go next. Hardened and strong, Shawn wasn't interested in any heartwarming-Helen-Keller tale of success after hardship. He knew he held a power above many people and that said people made up a cesspool of evil in many disguises. In a world of seeing and hearing, it would be easy for him to keep his powers secret, the question was how to put them to best use.

Personality: As would be expected, Shawn is rather quiet and withdrawn. Having long since given up on forming any deep bonds with people, he spends his time either earning money, furthering his self-education, or simply fulfilling any other accessible desires. While extremely intelligent, he is also calculating and closed off, concerned only with his own well-being and needs. Even at work where many are curious enough to attempt to communicate with him, Shawn is disinterested in conversation and will brush off most. At the same time, he is hardened and confident and will end conflicts quickly without fear of using his powers if necessary.

Abilities: Shawn has the ability to see infrared images and can make this sight penetrate walls. He can also create a highly acidic touch which will burn through most materials with the touch of his hand. He can also emit a deadly neurotoxin which is undetectable to humans until its effects have already begun. The toxin, when inhaled, will first begin by constricting the pupils and blood vessels. As it seeps into the brain, it will begin to cause convulsions, respiratory arrest and eventually, death within hours. When using his power, however, his eyes will glow a bright green to the point that they appear to be nothing more than 2 empty sockets of bright light. When he turns them off, he appears normal, but returns to his usual blindness and cannot use his poisons.

Strengths: Shawn is extremely intelligent, learning and thinking quickly. His remaining senses are also extremely acute and he is able to pick up faint vibrations and smells easily. While not formally trained in fighting, he has learned to scrap from experience and does not need to heavily rely on his powers.

Weaknesses: Even when using his powers, Shawn is still deaf. Seeing only infrared, his ability to see details is extremely limited and he still relies on tactile input to create a complete "picture" of something. He is also human and thus, can be injured and killed like anyone else. Also, although he can speak, he is only about as clear as any other deaf person and so he will be difficult to understand for some. He has developed a habit of signing and speaking at the same time, but not everyone understands ASL.

Fighting style: Shawn is very aware that he appears to be an easy target. Using this to his advantage, he will lure his unsuspecting opponents close by pretending to be unaware of their presence and even taking a few hits. If he feels like playing with his food, so to speak, he will hit back in non-vital areas. Sometimes he will build an image of his opponent this way by moving to strike and feeling what he hits. When he is looking to be efficient, he will strike quickly, aiming for the throat, face, or stomach. He will then unleash his powers, inadvertently striking fear into his opponent as he burns through their flesh down to the bone.

He can also be covert should his victim find themselves in a closed space with him. There, he will quietly sit, innocently occupying himself with his back to the victim while he fills the space with neurotoxin. After some time, holding his breath, Shawn will simply slip out of the room, quietly locking the door on the way out.

CHARACTERS Zoe
Name: Zoe Polaris

Age: 26

Appearance: Zoe is about average in height, slender and fit with the air of someone trained in fighting. Her straight, medium brown hair is layered and most of it falls past her shoulders. She usually wears it up but with part of it framing her face. Her eyes are usually brown as well and have a closed off look to them that makes her seem rather unapproachable along with her generally cold expression. She will typically dress in khaki or black cargo pants over boots and a plain t-shirt.

Personality: Zoe is not what you would call warm and inviting. On the contrary, she is usually quiet, keeping her statements curt and to the point. She is very serious, rarely smiling, and seems to live for her work. At the same time, she will immediately jump to the front of any situation, quickly taking the lead and yielding only to those she considers her equals (which is very few). Independent and strong, she will likely only ever ask for help in the most dire of situations and only from Cassius. Despite her quiet nature, she also has no problem telling someone exactly what she thinks and prides herself on having nearly no fear. Most people cannot tell that she and Cassius are a couple.

Bio.: Always intelligent and reserved, Zoe discovered at an early age that she had a penchant for computers. This was strongly encouraged by her proud parents and she spent many hours learning new things, absorbing quickly with her fast mind and disturbingly photographic memory. When she was still very young, however, Zoe’s parents were killed in a car accident and she found herself shuffled from foster home to foster home over the remainder of her childhood. During this time, she began to discover that her abilities with computers were starting to cross into unnatural. This was especially so when she found herself being literally absorbed by once and began surfing the net in the most literal sense of it. Her memory also seemed to be enhanced as she discovered she had the ability to scan visual material and store it in her mind. She could then deposit her own memory as a document on a computer she had entered.

Being a foster child, she was able to keep her abilities a secret fairly easily and spent much of her time alone, honing her own powers. At 18, when she left the foster system, she set out on her own to form an underground haven for others like herself. During her exploits, she met Dominic Cassius. In their work together, the two formed what would be a rare bond for Zoe. Still, they continue to work as a team making only the most careful of contacts. While Polaris is not her real last name, she adopted it to add to her security.

Abilities/Powers: Cyberkinesis: Zoe has the ability to manipulate computers using her mind. She can also enter cyberspace itself, entering other computers and collecting any data she wants. It is very hard to protect against her since it is not so much hacking as her actually entering the computer’s information. She is also her own scanner as she can read any text and not only remember it word-for-word but put it into the computer as a document. When she does this, her eyes will turn red. On top of her mutant powers, she has also been sporadically trained in mixed martial arts over the years. Also, although she doesn’t usually need to, she has some skills as a hacker.

Name: Dominic Cassius

Age: 26

Appearance: Tall, lanky, and often unshaven, Cassius comes off as a slacker to most. His dark brown hair appears black and is shaggy and unkempt, falling into his face and down to about his jaw line. Although he is physically fit, he is thin and gives a look of deceptive weakness. Usually, his defined jaw will be covered with dark whiskers though he doesn’t grow what one might truly call facial hair. He simply looks as though he is due for a shave. Cassius usually wears tattered jeans or well-worn cargo pants and a shirt that looks like it was bought at a thrift store. He also is partial to dark sunglasses.

Personality: Where Zoe is serious and cold, Cassius is laid back and usually has a grin on his face. He is almost constantly smoking rarely standing still as he prefers to be engaged in some kind of activity. While he is not especially rash, he loves a good risk and will take on any dangerous mission. In spite of his appearance and demeanor, he is also intelligent and street smart and can easily organize some chaos that gets tossed to him. When he is leading someone else, he will look out for them as closely as possible, never letting someone else get hurt under his protection. Along with this skills, it is seemingly almost impossible to get him truly upset, the only known way being to in some way harm Zoe.

Bio.: Cassius is the youngest in an affluent family of 4 children. Between his family’s inherited fortune and his father’s successful business, they never suffered for money and were well-connected. His father was also, however, a bit of a stereotype in that he married late and to a woman quite a bit younger than himself. When Cassius was 16, his father passed way leaving his fortune to be distributed among him his wife and children. Of the other 3 children, his mother was hesitant to give Dominic his share as he was always beating to his own drummer and never showing much sign of responsibility. On top of this, she had her suspicions that he had certain . . . views . . . that not only went against the convention but would severely risk their status.

She couldn’t keep him from what was legally his when he turned 18, however. As soon as possible, Cassius left home, taking his share and distancing himself from his family. Always feeling the treatment towards meta-humans was unfair, he began involving himself in underground activities to provide safe haven for those in hiding while doing what he can to undo what had been done. During this time, he met Zoe and became deeply romantically involved. To this day, his family is uncertain as to his whereabouts or even if he is still alive.

Abilities/Powers: While human with no powers himself, Cassius is a skilled fighter and shooter. He is also stealthy and rather good at lock-picking. At the same time, he is fit, lithe, and can make a fast get-away. He is also charismatic and a skilled leader.

May I join? I had this character drafted up over on The Nine Worlds, but never got a chance to play him. I hope he's not too similar to the Wraith that he won't be unique and contributory.


OOC: This is a complete ripoff from the show Mutant X, but I've always thought this character was way underdeveloped and underutilized. And totally cool. The names have been changed to protect the innocent . . . .


CHARACTERS JebCorvus

Jeb Corvus is a 5'11", lean but muscular Canadian who hails from Churchill, Manitoba, the Polar Bear capital of the world. Jeb is 27 years old and single.

Jeb Corvus is a class of mutants (meta-humans) known as Moleculars and has the ability to alter his body's density, enabling him to pass through walls or to become as completely solid as stone. He is limited to about 90 seconds as an intangible state (or else risk not being able to reintegrate) and can only stay supersolid for as long as he can hold his breath. He also as the ability to make any object he touches intangible or as supersolid as he is, allowing others to pass through the object or be invulnerable as well.

Moleculars are mutants who manipulate their body structure and molecular density in various ways. Some Moleculars possess more than one ability. Moleculars abilities include Intangibility, (the ability to pass through solid objects); Impervious, (the ability to increase their mass so they’re invulnerable to projectile weapons); Invisibility, (the ability to project an aura that renders them invisible); Propulsive, (the ability to move at high speeds); Gravitative, (the ability to manipulate gravity); Chromatics, (the ability to change color, light and shades like a chameleon); Stasis-suspension, (the ability to slow down time); Replication, (the ability to duplicate solid objects); Elasticity, (the ability to change their shape or size) and Regeneration; (the ability to heal and repair tissue and limbs).

While Jeb has demonstrated Intangibility and Imperviousness, it is still unknown at this time whether other Molecular abilities will surface.

Jeb graduated summa cum laude in Kinesiology (the study of human movment) at Toronto's York University and took at job there in the Human Performance Lab, testing professional athletes including the players of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Winnipeg Jets and the San Jose Sharks. Jeb enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including rock climbing, kayaking, horse back riding, camping, hiking, mountaineering, scuba diving, snorkeling and swimming. He is a skilled kick-boxer and lately has taken to the "Ultimate Fighting" style of self defense, i.e. no rules where fighting is concerned. Being an expert in Kinesiology, Jeb knows exactly where to strike a body to cause the most effective damage.

Jeb recently moved from Toronto to the Big Apple, and having recently been invited to an interview at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital, Jeb is excited to begin his new life in the U.S.

CHARACTERS Highwayman
The Highwayman, a.k.a. Lance Strauss - Arrested for Hijacking
He has enhanced strength and is incredibly fast in both body and mind.


The Highwayman would be the leader of the group if they didn't already have someone calling the shots. His super-speed is a form of warping time, allowing him to move faster than a speeding bullet, but he is still susceptible to the physical laws of inertia and gravity and so he cannot stop on a dime, nor make 90 degree turns and maneuver through a crowd at his highest speed. His mass also distorts the air as he moves so even if people don't see him, they will notice the gust of wind that follows in his wake, and may also notice the sound of him breaking the sound barrier (people often forget these things when dealing with super speed characters).

The Highwayman's mind works just as quickly as he can move. So he is able to quickly adjust to knew situations and react to attacks with lightening speed. Too beat him, one has to out think him, making him a good opponent for strategic characters.

The Highwayman knows Scavenger well.


CHARACTERS Snow_Angel
Snow Angel, a.k.a. Deirdre White - Arrested for Murder
She is an Elemental Meta-human with Cryokinises, the ability to freeze objects.


Snow Angel is a devious villain, who delights in slowly freezing people to death, preserving them in a shroud of beautiful ice. She loves the cold, and has a compulsion to constantly used ice and snow metaphors, she even has to modify words to sound like something to do with the cold, commonly mixing up the word 'know' for 'snow'.

She will naturally turn into an arch-enemy of Flaming Angel. A classic battle between Fire and Ice, which is why she will stay a minor character just so she sticks around. Her powers are quite extensive, being able to generate freezing temperatures around her, even being able to focus her powers as far as the clouds and turn rain into snow across an area of about ten city blocks, although this something that she would rarely expend energy on.

Deirdre can shoot blasts of frigid cold and the closer she is the more deadly her blasts as normal air temperature quickly reduces the freezing damage of her attacks. She can form walls of ice from the moisture in the air (there has to be a normal amount of humidity) and hurl ice shards as well, by either throwing them or producing them high in the air above her target(s).

Roulette, a.k.a. Viktor Raskova (Mafia Hit-man) - Arrested for Murder and Arson

Viktor is a molecular, and phase through solid objects. He can pass through walls and allow things to pass through him, but when he does this anything he is hold is also phased so he can shoot a gun and phase at the same time. He has to be solid to attack, which is one of his weaknesses.

This character and Grey Pyre may have overlapping contacts since they are both hit men. He is an expendable character, so any writer is more than welcome to use his demise to enhance their own character and add to the story.

Door Knocker, a.k.a. Jenny Knox - Arrested for Grand Theft
A minor telekinetic ability that allows her to open locks.
She is also well trained in the martial arts and has enhanced physical attributes.

Door Knocker is an accomplished thief. Her power allows her to, somehow, without any knowledge of a lock, concentrate and open it. There is no lock that she cannot open, which is why she had to be contained with bonds and heavy manual dead bolts that her ability cannot move. The classic 'cop stopper' barring device will also prevent her entry.

Jenny Knox, is well trained in Tae Kwan Do and Kick Boxing and her enhanced meta-human attributes give her an edge against most Humans.

Even prior to the passing of the Riggs Act, the Eastern Meta-Detention Centre had existed to incarcerate the most dangerous of meta-humans. Now the prison, is used to detain all the non-humans captured by R.A.I.D.

The prison is overseen by Warden Harrison Tomes, a fastidious man who demands that the entire centre meets his high standards at all times.

Captain Jacob Rathbone, an enormous man who delights in the punishment of meta-humans is the Warden's right hand man.

All prisoners entering the detention centre will be immediately taken to a holding area designed to contain any kind of mutant that R.A.I.D. has on record. They will remain there while they are processed for placement, which first entails them to divulge everything they know about their meta-abilities, then whether they are truthful or not are sent to the 'lab'. The Processing Area, or 'Lab', contains a variety of equipment designed to specifically test what I meta-human is capable of by forcing an involuntary defensive reaction, or in other words they are tortured.

After processing they are dumped in cell modified to hold their specific powers and medication may be prescribed to inhibit their powers.

Prisoners are contained in a Polyhedron, a ten sided uni-sex, pod that holds nine cells, the tenth wall being the portal. At one time only two of the pod, are allowed to leave their cells and access the courtyard if the behaviour warrants it.

Each cell offers the prisoner an enclosed bathroom (changing room) with a small shower, which is also designed to be a death trap for those who abuse the privilege of the privacy. They have been given the luxury as many of the meta-human will never leave their cells, and so basic human rights have afforded them some sense of a normal life.

The cells vary in design, but all are open to reveal what the prisoner is doing at all times and when ever a guard so chooses they can seal a cell with a heavy, non-magnetic poly-alloy that descends from the ceiling.

Meal times are purposely unscheduled as are many other events and inspections in the centre, never allowing the prisoners to get used to a routine.

Name: Claudia Apple

Age: 16

Codename: Flare

Appearance: Claudia holds an innocent beauty like that of a young child and, combined with her youthful demeanor, is easily mistaken for younger than she really is. Dirty blond curls fall just a little past her shoulders and frame a roundish face with bright blue eyes. She stands around 5'5" and about 125lbs. She dresses like a fairly typical high school or middle school student with jeans or cargo pants and a fitted shirt that will always have a design as she dislikes plain clothing.

Personality: Awkward and talkative, Claudia is constantly dancing the line between lovable and annoying. While she is somewhat shy, she often talks excessively as a way of dissipating her own nervousness. Because of this and her occasional verbal diarrhea, she often comes off as somewhat of a ditz and may give a little too much information. Still, she has a kind hard and an intense desire to help people and will jump at anything to put herself to as much use as possible, even if the situation terrifies her.

Powers: Healing– Claudia can use her own energy to heal most wounds so long as she knows what the actual problem is and can focus on it. The process drains her energy so the more severe an injury is, the more it will take out of her to heal
Absorption– Claudia has the ability to absorb blunt damage to herself and turn it temporarily into physical strength.
Bioluminescence– When Claudia uses her powers, a colorful glow forms around her body. She sometimes uses this to glow in the dark (hence her codename).

History: Claudia was born into a typical suburban family and attended a typical suburban school. She was the youngest of two girls and managing to flourish with her own group of friends during the trying adolescent years. An aspiring doctor from a very young age, Claudia had already begun delving into books about medical science and had a fairly impressive knowledge of basic medicine for her age. Her shining moment came when she was about 12 when a boy was hit by a car in front of her school just as she and her friends were head inside. Jumping into action, Claudia rushed immediately to the boy's side and knelt beside him. The boy was rather seriously injured, however, and she quickly began to realize that even her own knowledge and first aid may not be enough to hold him until the ambulance arrived.

During her mounting apprehension, she noticed a strange sort of glow suddenly forming around her hands. While the word "mutant" flashed briefly before her, the pressure of the situation let her push it from her mind until the boy miraculously seemed to be healing. By the time the paramedics arrived, the boy was scurrying away from her, completely unharmed, and joining the ring of students that was gathering cautiously around her. Looking around in confusion, the events slowly began to play back into Claudia's mind and she realized she had just healed someone without seemingly doing much more than concentrating on his known injuries. When she was accused of being a meta-human and thus, Riggs Act violator, she was quickly taken away without even the chance to say goodbye to her heartbroken parents.

Locked away, she spent the next two years as one of the youngest inmates in the facility. Many of the other metas, however, saw her as a kind of little sister and most treated her kindly and did their best to protect her. When she was fourteen, there was a major break-in at her particular prison for captured metas by a very strange couple: One free Riggs Act violator and a human who talked like a stoned surfer, masking apparently impressive skills. She, along with several other benign metas were broken out of the prison and given safe haven at the couple's hidden cottage until they could find their ways back into the world in hiding. Being so young, Claudia needed a little extra time and remained with Zoe and Cassius for several months until she managed to land a job doing light assistant work for a kind doctor who felt sorry for her after hearing her "story."

She now lives under the guise of an orphan who ran away from her abusive foster parents and is now living on her own, working to get by. She keeps her powers a secret from even her charitable boss and keeps in touch with Zoe and Cassius, willing to help wherever she can. While she was mature for her age long before she was even taken, her time in prison slightly stunted her development and she usually seems closer to 14 years-old than 16.

Personality: While mostly aloof, preferring to work alone, Grey has adapted well to his surroundings in his ability to "walk the walk and talk the talk." His loyalty is strictly to the highest bidder which means he will switch in an instant should a better deal come along. He is also defensive when criticized or threatened and extremely businesslike in his "work."

Appearance: Grey has an average height and build with long, loosely curly light brown hair which he wears in a low ponytail, and sharp gray eyes. He usually wears cargo pants and a plain t-shirt underneath a dark-colored hoodie or jacket.

Bio: Grey was the youngest of 7 in a very affluent family. At age 4, he was diagnosed with severe Tourette's syndrome that caused many embarrassing moments the family had increasing difficulty covering up. While they didn't want to come off as racist or teaching their children swear words, they also didn't want to admit that any of their perfect blood would be defective. Often Grey was left out of social affairs with various excuses made for his absence or he was commanded to suppress his disruptive tics for excessive amounts of time only to fail and be harshly reprimanded.

On top of this, Grey had always seemed somewhat . . . enhanced. He could run incredibly fast, especially for a child, he could aim with deadly accuracy, and little if anything seemed to truly frighten him. At the same time, he could see for miles and hear a pin drop at a cocktail party. All of this made him only the more difficult to control. The strangest thing others noticed about him was that no one outside of his immediate family seemed to be able to remember a single physical detail about him. This was blamed on his recurrent absences from the public eye, but there as just something about it that unnerved everyone around him. His true power, however, Grey kept a deep secret.

He noticed it one day on the way back from a boring social affair in which he had inadvertently humiliated his parents for the umpteenth time by shouting a racial slur at an important ambassador. Having been harshly scolded by his parents from the time the incident had happened to the several minutes they had been in the car, Grey's anger grew and he found himself wishing to pay them back. It was then that he discovered he had the ability to disrupt machines when the car seemed to go into some sort of seizure. The headlights flashed, the radio began changing stations and volumes, the breaks locked up then immediately slammed back down until finally the engine backfired with a loud crack!

While he escaped blame for the car incident, Grey's home life remained turbulent and worsened as he reached his teens and began having little brushes with the law. Finally, unable to stand the turmoil at home, he ran away at age 17. Immediately, he fell into a life of crime, using his skills to serve the underworld. It took a few years for his unusual skills to catch the eye of a powerful crime syndicate. They immediately captured him and blackmailed him into doing their bidding in exchange for their silence about his true nature. Since then, he has been working for them earning just enough money to support himself and his addiction to Vicodin.

Powers/Abilities:
Disrupt: Has the ability to disrupt any mechanical device, from computers to locks

Enhanced Dexterity: Nimble and quick, he can dodge bullets such that it would take a fair barrage to hit him and challenge an Olympic champion in a race. He is also a sharpshooter with anything from darts to bullets. He can also move with impressive stealth and keep himself from being detected when breaking in somewhere. He keeps quiet by suppressing his tics until he is safe.

Wits: He can stay calm enough to think straight in even the most dangerous situations

Enhanced senses: Hears and sees beyond that of a normal human

"Nobody:" While even somewhat attractive, Grey has a strange power that keeps people from remembering a single physical detail about him no matter how many times they meet him. His immediate family is somewhat immune to this thanks to their natural, genetic bond, but they may still have trouble recalling small details like eye color or exact height.

The only thing I will ask is when it comes time for the racial slurs and extreme foul language you use the classic comic book text character (*&^%$#@!) for the really bad words. While this is mostly an adult site, I don't want to have people think it's perfectly OK to decimate the site with that language on a common basis.

Lifestyle
Stefan is a drug dealer, selling stolen pharmaceuticals and his own designer brands. He is also part of the underground goth scene and frequents the clubs and haunts associated with them. He can be ruthless but when out numbered he will always back down and would sell out a friend to save his own neck anytime.

Powers and Abilities
Stefan knows how to street fight and is good with a knife but he prefers to stab someone in the back rather than confronting his enemies.

He has an incredible sense of smell that exceeds the accuracy and range of a blood hound and thus also has an exceptional sense of taste. Stefan can see in the dark as well, being able to utilize the smallest amount of light to see by, but in total blackness, void of light can see nothing. This ability makes his eyes very sensitive to light, and he is unable to see in the day without darker than normal sunglasses, so he usually sleeps during the day and is up all night.

Scavenger also has a strange ability that allows him to transform into a common raven. It is actually a molecular ability that allows him to manipulate the molecules of his body and clothing (because it is in contact with his flesh). The change takes only a few seconds, but is not possible if he is in contact with another living creature, so if he is being held his transformation is not possible.

Why a raven? Stefan is not really sure, but he believes it has something to do with the fact that his Great Great Grandmother, May Ravencloud was a full-blooded, Huron and stories passed down though the generations said that she believed that she could fly. He's never cared to really discover the answer and uses the ability for spying on his competition and thieving.

Native North American's usually making their homes in a fairly compact area of central Ontario between the southern end of Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe. Many of them ended up making their homes in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and upper Michigan and eventually migratedf to Kansas.

In other words, Indians who originated in Canada.

Vacily is a Colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps and works at the Pentagon, but secretly he is one of the Controllers of BEACON.

"Zradsvuite prizra", greeted Surge.

Toril was speechless, he hadn't expected his former mentor to come all this way to collect the data in person. "I think I am the one looking at the ghost.", he replied and the man responded with a warm smile, then Toril quickly added "It is good to see you Vacily." offering his hand, which Vacily readily accepted and shook vigorously, reaching up with his other hand and slapping him hard on the shoulder. "Look at you!" he remarked studying Toril's youthful features inquisitively. Then moved his hand to the face and gave it an affectionate slap. "Still handsome and strong, and me," he gestured to his own face, moving his hand over a vicious scar around his right eye and grimacing, "nah."

Vacily's accent was pure american, a deep bold voice, but every so often in familiar company the accent of his first language slipped out and his mannerisms turned distinctly Eastern European. Toril remembered well, how Vacily could transform his persona at will, trained to do so during his days in the C.I.A. when he was used to infiltrate highly secure Russian installations. Born in American to Russian defectors, Vacily would become a marine and display aptitudes that would indoctrinate him into Central Intelligence, who honed his skills of misdirection and subterfuge. His expertise in deception had taught him to never readily trust anyone and so the same was with his own government, so he kept his mutant abilities a secret and that caution would eventually pay off. As meta-humans fell under scrutiny, Colonel Vacily Serge Petrovsky was able to retain his power and authority and use it to help create the secret organization called Beacon, an organization dedicated to eliminating the human threat from the mutant world.


All the while that Vaciliy served the American Military and worked for the C.I.A. he would also put on his costume and defend the world from the very corruption he helped to create. As 'Surge' he could release his powerful meta-abilities and pit them against other mutants and foes that were untouchable to a marine corps colonel. Alongside other masked super-heroes, like the Wraith and the great Battalion, he believed he was making a difference in the world all those years ago.

Physical Traits
Blue eyes and Sandy Blonde hair (what remains). His sight is limited in his right eye and he has extensive scarring around it. He stands 5'9" tall and weighs approximately 170 lbs.

Meta-Abilities

Surge may be one of the most powerful meta-humans in the world. He can generate electricity and also produce electromagnetic fields which allow him to manipulate anything that is magnetic. His powers are so developed, that he can also produce electro-magnetic pulses that can disrupt small electrical devices or even black-out part of a city.

During electrical storms he can channel the lightning through his body and hurl it, or use the power to greatly increase his own electrical field. He is also effected by these storms and extensive magnetic storms as well, which cause him to temporarily lose control of his powers, but he is able to take a special medication that dampens the surges.

Surge also has enhanced physical attributes, such as heightened muscularity and endurance, but since he does not train to push these traits to their maximum he simply maintains an athletic physique without having to exercise daily.

5'8", 126 lbs. Light Blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Sara-Lynn is a statuesque woman with an intimidating beauty. Despite her angelic face, Sara-Lynn is as devious as they come. She is highly manipulative, and while her interests currently lie with Beacon, she is only concerned with herself and what she gets out of her service to a cause that she really doesn't even believe in.

She hates Humans and if others of her kind are not beneficial they are regarded as liabilities to her own personal agenda.

Meta-Abilities

Sun Storm can generate massive amounts of Solar Radiation to produce heat and light. She can generate laser beams from her body and usually directs these with her hands. Fire has no effect on her and she even has the ability to produce around her a field of intense heat that enables her to fly by using heat like a rocket to propel her through the air. Her speed can match that of a speeding missile and her heat field, protects her eyes from debris as she flies through the air.

Aside from her primary ability, Sun Storm has all of the common Meta-human enhancements.

Tatoos: A red-tailed hawk on her left shoulder blade, about 3 inchess hight and with wingspan, about 5 inches across. On right shoulder blade is a howling wolf, 4 inches high and about 3 inches wide. The wolf is black.
Hair: Waist length, auburn with silver highlights, thick, wavy, and soft as silk
Eyes: Lavender-darkening from purple:uneasy, to dark purple:afraid, to black:angry
Skin tone: Golden brown
Face: petite nose, eyes slightly slanted, high cheekbones (skin and cheekbones showing Native American heritage), a scar on the left side of her face, starting at her hairline at her cheekbone and running halfway across, just under the cheekbone. (She got this trying to protect her niece and failing. Her niece was like her, able to call animals to her aid.)
Weapons of choice: knives of any kind
Pack items: change of clothing, 4 extra 4 inch long knives, first aid kit, jerky and bottled water.
Clothing: Black, treated suede-halter vest, tight-fitting pants to match, knee-high, flat boots. A knife in each boot, 3 at her back in homemade sheaths attached to her belt, and a large 6 inch bowie knife at her right side.
Ability: Using telepathy, she can call animals to her aid, but her main animal to call are any of the canine species. Her lavender eyes give her away as something more than human.

Morgan was born to a Lakota Sioux mother and Scottish father in Pueblo, Colorado. Her ability to mentally speak to animals was a blessing to her mother and a curse to her father. By the time she was 13 yrs. old, she thought that her life meant nothing and she was nothing. Her mother had died when she was 6 yrs. old tying to give birth to her little brother. He didn't survive either.
At 16 yrs. old, able to take no more, her father handed her over to her mother's sister and husband on the outskirts of Colorado Springs, Colorado. They're 10 yr. old daughter had been born with the same ability that Morgan had been. Her aunt and uncle taught her how to use her ability with as little harm to the animals as possible. Turns out, that her main animal to call was any of the canine species.
When she turned 18, she took her then 12 yr. old cousin to a movie in town. On the way home, they were run off the road, turning over her uncle's ford truck. Wearing seatbelts, her and Cassie, were able to crawl out of the wreckage, only to be grabbed by 4 of the white rich boys from town.
When her and Cassie started fighting, both calling to the animals, Cassie to the Colorado cougar and Morgan to the timber wolf, the boys struggled to hold them, laughing. One of the boys was able to pick up on what they were doing and figuring that wolves were easier to deal with then a courgar, began to slap Cassie. Fighting, Morgan broke free of her captors and attacked the young man hitting Cassie. He pulled a knife and stabbed Cassie in the chest. This drove Morgan into a craze and her eyes turned coal black. Frightening the young men, the one with the blade sliced out at her, cutting her left cheek with a deep gash. That was when the cougar and small pack of wolves showed up. Morgan directed to take care of the young men, but to leave the one with the blade alive, but his face scarred. As they did as they were bade, Morgan pulled her little cousin into her arms and wailed in grief. Taking Cassie home, she helped her aunt and uncle prepare for the burial and then left, never to be heard from again. Her aunt and uncle took the body of their body back to their home reservation. The Rosebud reservation in South Dakota, where they buried her. Morgan left soon after that.
She made it to New York City and during her journey, found that her eyes always gave her away and she was a target, some of things that happend to her along the way she doesn't like to talk about.
She doesn't trust and is leery. Her eyes are shadowed with what she has been through. And she has been alone for too long and longs for companionship but not trusting, it makes it difficult for her to seek others like her out.

Welcome to the fray!

A place to introduce her is sure to present itself soon. Keep an eye out for a good time to insert her into the story.

Right now, Yelena, Toril, Cassius and Shawn are in Canadaigua, a town named after the finger lake about 4 hours north west of New York city. HOWEVER, Tim Rutherford, a.k.a. Cowboy, has just retreived his black horse Mustang fromt he garage and is on his way out of the city. Maybe you two could hook up that way.
