Sorry about that... it's hard to keep the FBI plan mapped out.

Their plans can be disrupted at anytime along that line. That's just how the FBI and RAID hope it works... they hope that the meta-humans will try and rescue him in O.R. where they are prepared. The fake doctors are going to be working on a cadaver while the real DiVine is being transported safely to the Detention Centre and Doctor Michael Eden.

Socks planned that way so that the heroes would be contending with an ambulance and not a armoured transport vehicle, although I personally think the amoured car would have been real challenge and fun for everyone, especially those driving assault vehicles. Oh well.

Depending on what happens in the O.R. scenario, the FBI may even move the fake DiVinne into the armoured car for realism. It all depends what happens.

The direction that the Heroes are going to follow all depends whether or not they realize that a switch has been made. BUT there is also that chance that somebody, somehow just might realize that there is nothing wrong with DiVine before he is taken to the O.R.

Right now, DiVinne is still in an induced coma while he recovers from his burns.

No no...don't be sorry. With all that's getting ready to pop off, it's difficult to keep it all in order. This is what collaborative story telling is all about.

If the code blue is given, with Yelena in the room close to his, she will have to act the part, at least somehow. If not, it may draw even more suspicion to her if she doesn't. It would only be natural for a doctor to go to the room the code blue is given on. I'll wait until others post and then I'll determine what to do then.

Of course, I was seriously under the impression the cadavar had already been swapped and was in the hyperberic chamber in the room. GAH....I've got so much running around in my head its not funny LOL

Well that may have been an option I suppose, but then DiVinne would already be on route and the heroes need a bit more time to try and save him. No, Socks worked it out well on behalf of the "bad guys" or "good guys", depends on your perspective how to view RAID.

They definitely want to try and capture everyone in the fake Operating Room. That way the situation is contained, no patients would be put at risk, and so forth. I guess for them it work out even better if they completely fooled the rescuers and got the cadaver in the armoured transport and they went after that vehicle. Then the heroes would be in hot water.

Dear Mozes!

Seems you've got this under control but in case I can clarify something after I've read up I'll gladly do so.

Because I'm awesome.

Though, I always expected it wouldn't be JUST an armored transport that'd carry Di Vine, more of a armored car AND a number of armored/escort vehicles.

Despite it being a normal ambulance in which they'll transport good ol' Robert, if and when the heroes get to the part of chasing it there should still be some fun in store for the assault vehicle.

I'm thinking like, I don't know... 4 escort vehicles? Obviously filled to the brim with counter-meta weaponry.

Also I quickly saw something about Lyrix in a less conspicuous vehicle... That's the Alpha Romeo I suppose? In which case it'd no doubt be Challenge driving it.

PS. I dig how Rick Jameson = that Sean guy from 24 (I just started watching the newest season and had to share my opinion on the matter)

Seemed a good choice for Jameson. Wink I really like him and Henkel, hopefully they're alright after all this. Very Happy

Yeah, I like the escort idea, and it is totally realistic, but since they are trying to be incognito, how about the vehicles are unmarked. They would be no tougher to spot than a ghost car, and we've all noticed them when driving about, but we tend not to notice them until we are fairly close to them.

Rutherford is an ex-cop, so he'd no doubt be a bit more keen on noticing unmarked vehicles, but it's up to everyone else to depict just how observant their characters are.

I like the idea that the escort cars (four of them sounds cool) are loaded with weapons and have extra armour. That's a challenge!

So, uh... You think RAID has no idea about Jeb? Or about Toril's little bit of hitchhiking?

Surely Birkshire saw Toril disappear as well as seeing Jeb suddenly appear.

Seeing how you're part of a whole "class" of meta's I'd say RAID has most definitely been in contact with the likes of you molecular types before and you're not going to get away with this as easily as you think. I can think of several nasty things they could do. Oh yes.

Certainly seems reasonable if they can stop clairvoyance, they can do something about you.

LOL!

I was afraid of that.

I think that moleculars are effected by electricity, at least that what I depict in Toril/Wraith's weakness. He cannot pass through electrical fields, and anything of that nature still does damage to him, even when he is wind form.

The high energy electric pulse weapons I had some of the RAID agents using against that villain, 'Impact' would effect Toril in his wind form.

Also, in complete darkness, if he moves too quickly by using more of his telekinesis to generate he will produce a faint pulsating aura, appearing to be a ghost. This may or may not become a factor, but Toril is well aware of it. This means that an imaging system that would be finely tuned to 'see' electromagnetic disruptions would pick up on Toril as long as he was using his kinetic abilities to move.

Toril suspects nothing of a trap, and he pretty much figures he's headed down to a regular O.R. where he doesn't have to worry about R.A.I.D. devices.

By the way. Are there any characters with pyschic abilities? I really have no idea, just seemed to be RAID sort of thing to throw in to counter any spying on their operation.

Siege's ability MIGHT be considered psychic, but maybe not... She does use her MIND to interact with particles on an atomic level, creating forcefields (which I think would effect moleculars, as well--that is, I don't think moleculars would be able to effect these forcefields, since they're made of highly charged electro-magnetic/plasmatic particles. Oh! If they did, I guess it would be like a battle of meta-power, and whoever was stronger would WIN, maybe! Luckily, she's on our side, anyway)... But I'm not sure if the clairvoyance-disrupter would effect her abilities or not. Thoughts?

Everybody knows that those who are good with matter are bad against energy.

That's how science works!

Or at least the kind of science that concern these kind of things.

Siege's ability to produce these shields is about as psychic as Di Vine's control over plants, I think. If this device could influence abilities on such a large scale it'd be rather... lame...

I think Siege's shields would pretty much just screw over a molecular trying to get past one of those, hands down.

Oh, yeah the one device that was mentioned only prevents Clairvoyance... it's very specific and would create a grey area in any psychic spies vision. That's it.

However, I am sure Socks can cook up some other interesting and useful RAID devices.

I do agree however, that a molecular could not pass through a forcefield. And for the record, Wraith can't pass through solid objects, he can just go where ever air can. In an air tight room, he's not going anywhere.

A very realistic response to the recent events.

I would have had Toril do some spying but turned him back for two reasons:
1. He's not directly in contact with the other group so his knowledge would be rather useless to the story.

2. I really didn't feel like leaving Toril to the mercy of Socks, who I felt was going to turn the O.R. into a death trap from which not even Superman could escape. I really don't enjoy trying to write head to head, where the story ends up being the battle of the wills between writers rather than just a fun collaborative effort.

Now unless someone can come up with a believable way to figure out that the heart attack is not real, I guess we are all retreating. Sorry I dropped the ball, but I just really didn't to be the sacrificial lamb in the room of death. Before Socks scared the hell out of me, I thought that we would just have a fun little skirmish in the O.R. or just discover the switch and proceed from there.

I personally think that Yelena should relay her sighting of the gun to the other characters and perhaps someone might have a revelation and put 2 and 2 together and realize that there is something fishy going on. It the team proceeds based on a hunch, Toril would stick about as well to provide support and I can't speak for Jeb, but he'd most likely follow suit as well.

Kill Switch is probably monitoring the cameras on the hospital ground as well. She would notice that despite the fact that there is a Armoured Transport, there will be an ambulance being preped and accompanied by an unmarked car. I figure that the other three cards would link up with the ambulance once they are out of the parking lot. She might be able to find a camera to watch that too, I don't know. But she might find that suspicious.

Just some ideas. I am sure all of you can probably come up with some cool schemes to keep the ball rolling.

A thought or two I shared with Deb earlier today for you all to chew on, cosidering Sock's decesion to depart.

We always have the option of letting Robert be taken to the detention facility after we determine it is a trap and rescue him later. Or we can write it that he did infact have a heart attack and died. Either from the heart attack Or from one of the R.A.I.D guys or someone unknown perhaps a rogue meta human, injecting him with an over dose of meds.
Just a thought.

I like those ideas, Lac. Also, if Robert was Socks' character, letting him die may be the best way to let him gracefully leave the post. If he wasn't though, I also like the idea of trying to get him after he is transported.

I'm not for killing off anyones character. I would rather leave it open ended that way if the writer ever decides to return, they can pick up someplace later in the story.

It's better to just let it fade away than make it impossible for them to ever consider coming back again.

Just my two cents worth.

That sounds good.

I like the idea of the abort then, and then going back at a later date and rescuing him for the detention center.

PLease do not misunderstand what I was saying...I was just throwing ideas out, thinking aloud as it were...I was not advocating either action .... I too would rather have it that we leave it so we can possably rescue Robert at a later date, as I think we discussed before.

No, No.....there was no misunderstandings, Dann. I was just stating I didn't care for that option and I think it's always best to leave it open ended, just as we did with the others from the old site.

Capeche?

So we'll steer the story for a retreat then...

There's one thing. Since apparently there are hidden cameras in all the burn unit rooms (as Socks has alluded to) then RAID is going to be interested in at least going after Jeb and Doctor Carson (Toril), plus they are still going to want to question the new intern (Yelena).

Obviously their trap is going to flop and for a consolation prize they are going to want some meta-humans. What this means unfortunately is that Jeb and Toril probably can't go back to their regular lives if RAID learns their identities, but with a little help from BEACON that may not be that big of an issue. I think BEACON would have them covered in that matter.

So, how about we have a little fun getting out of the hospital? That way the characters might have a chance to meet while defending themselves.

Elaborations?

I added a little write up in the character section about one of the standard RAID weapons, the PLASMA GUN.

Okay, folks. Tough decision for me, but, due to time constraints, I am feeling a need to downsize my story participation a little. As you probably noticed, I just let Siege get captured by RAID. I hope that her layoff will be temporary, but it seemed a convenient way to let the story continue at full bore without my sporadic posting and increaslingly common absences slowing things down for you--that's the last thing I want to do! This way, when I am less busy, I can work her back into the story in some exciting fashion.

I love you all, and this decision is not based on ANTYHING accept my own out of controll existence at the moment--so don't get the wrong idea here. I'm just (hopefully) taking a break, and trying to do so in such a fashion that will let this story continue without me/Siege. I will try to maintain participation in other stories, but I may have to let other characters go, too. I will do my best to stay active in all the stories where I have been a particularly driving and shaping force in the story. I felt Siege is not such a driving character, and so she is the first unfortunate one to be temporarily laid off. Don't worry, she'll be getting compensation pay for six months.

Anyway, I hope you all understand and don't end up rescuing Siege before she's even fully captured! It'll give the heroes something more to gripe about. tongue

Not to worrry Amanada, thank you for giving us a heads up. I and we do understand about real life all too well. It has a nasty habit from time to time of interfering with our other lives.
We will be here waiting on Siege's return.
